Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine welcomes new orthopaedic surgeon
JEFFERSON, N.C. — Dr. Hardayal Singh recently joined the team at Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine.
A native of India, Dr. Singh has more than 30 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery and wound management, specializing in the treatment of shoulders and knees.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Hardayal Singh to our team at Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine,” Ashe Memorial Hospital CEO Brian Yates said. “Dr. Singh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in orthopaedic surgery and wound management which will benefit our community.”
Dr. Singh completed his Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. in 2003. He also completed a Joint Replacement Fellowship. Dr. Singh is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is also a board-certified Wound Care Specialist by the American Board of Wound Management.
Prior to joining the team at Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, Dr. Singh operated his own private orthopaedic surgery practice. He also worked as an orthopaedic consultant for Duke Raleigh Hospital, Rex Hospital and Wake Med North, all located in Raleigh, N.C. He also served as the Medical Director for Sunnybrook Rehab Center, the Duke Raleigh Wound Healing Center and Wellcare Home Health Agency.
In his new role, Dr. Singh will work with patients in the clinic to determine their treatment plan and if surgery is necessary.
“My work is my worship,” Dr. Singh said. “We will take them through their toughest journey in their health, surgery for example, with an attempt to make it as fun as I can, knowing it’s serious but with a positive attitude. There’s nothing more gratifying than helping a fellow human and getting a sincere ‘thank you’ from them. It’s a personal high when that happens.”
Located on the campus of Ashe Memorial Hospital, Ashe Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality care, offering a full range of orthopaedic and sport medicine treatment options. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 336-846-0222 or visit ashememorial.org.
