Working Conditions:
* Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
* Visual and hearing ability for patient care activities.
* General indoor conditions, exposure to below 32 degrees and above 80 degree temperatures.
* Noise: light to moderate noise.
* Good verbal and written communication skills necessary for job requirements.
* Weekend and evening work required.
Duties of the Job:
1. Washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after dismissal of patients.
2. Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
3. Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
4. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
5. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
6. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
7. Dusts furniture and equipment.
8. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
9. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
10. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
11. Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
12. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
13. Replenishes bathroom supplies.
14. Replaces light bulbs. |
