 | Education: | Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program that is AMA approved and meets requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or its equivalent. |
 | Experience: | At least one year of CT experience is preferred, but a less experienced applicant would be considered. |
 | Physical Requirements: | Ability to life a minimum of 75 pounds, visual and hearing ability for patient care activities, general indoor conditions, light to moderate noise, good verbal and written communication skills necessary for job requirements, call, weekend and evening work required. |
 | License Required: | ARRT
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists at the CT level is preferred, but not a requirement.
CPR certification within one month of hire and maintain certification. |

Duties of the Job:
1. Properly position patient into scanner and sets required protocol for the exam.
2. Administers correct dosages of oral contrast required for the exam and obtain consent for use I.V. contrast material.
3. Keeps log of all patients scanned.
4. Properly develops films and complies with the department's quality improvement program.
5. Practice radiation protection guidelines for patient and other employees.
6. Must be reliable for "on-call" status.
7. Serves all patients that are referred to the department for CT examination.
8. Understands and performs Meditech computer skills.
9. Complies and knows charging process of all radiology exams.
10. Proper operation of 3-d workstation involving cat scans.
11. Knowledge of JPAC system and understands how to operate and send studies to Radiologists.
12. Knowledge of how to schedule patient exams.
13. Knowledge of improvement process plan.
14. Assist Department Manager in any area needed.
15. Knows how to administer contrast media and can respond to an adverse reaction.
16. Knowledge of special procedures in area.
17. Performs as Radiology Tech when necessary. |
