Dr. Terry L. Williams, Jr., OB/Gyn opened his practice, AMH Women's Center in downtown West Jefferson, across from the Post Office on Tuesday, May 31st. Dr. Williams is a native of Chattanooga, and has his background in education as he earned his Bachelor's and Master's Education degrees in the 1990's. After teaching for 5 years at the college level, he went on to receive his Doctorate of Osteopathy from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. His internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology training were completed at the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit. During his residency, he received the program's highest honors being awarded the W. Powell Hutcherson, M.D. Award and the Belex Best Teaching Resident Award. Upon graduating residency, he returned to his roots in education and took a position as clinical instructor/assistant professor with the OBGYN Department he graduated from. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.|
Dr. WIlliams and his wife Jenny have 3 children. The family is very excited about the opportunities that await them in Ashe County.
