John Sundin, M.D.
General Surgery
Dr. John A. Sundin joined the medical staff at Ashe Memorial Hospital in April, 2007. He is a graduate from the University of Virginia, 1983 and the Medical College of Virginia, graduating in 1987. He performed his surgical training at the Yale University from 1987-1992. Following surgical training at Yale, Dr. Sundin worked overseas for two years with the American Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. He previously practiced in Key West, Florida for ten years before coming to Ashe County. He is a member of the American Board of Surgeons with advanced training in laparoscopic and general surgery. His special interests are in gastroenterology, dermatology involving suspicious skin lesions, and non-healing wounds.
